We are an international university with campuses in London, Dubai and Mauritius. We have four campuses located in north London: our flagship Campus in Hendon, at leafy Trent Park and nearby Cat Hill and our specialist health campus at Archway.
Middlesex has three Campuses in North London, offering you an affordable London student experience. Each is just a short hop from Central London, and has its own distinctive personality, from the cutting edge modernity of Hendon to the beautiful Parkland setting of Trent Park.
Our campuses have spacious learning environments â€" traditional landscaped spaces within urban settings â€" quite rare for a London University. This gives our students more space to think. Our year long modules, which instill a deeper level of understanding, allow you more time to learn. We pioneered student work placements, and continue to offer an outstanding range of placements and overseas exchanges.
Our Hendon campus in north London is located ten minutes from the Northern Line and Thameslink rail line, either of which takes you to central London in under 30 minutes. Close to the North Circular and A41, our location combines a spacious campus rare in London with excellent transport links.
Trent Park in north London is accesible via the Piccadilly Line from Cockfosters and Oakwood station. Set between the towns of Enfield, Southgate and Barnet, the campus is surrounded by a landscape of lakes, woods and country walks.
Cat Hill is located in north London, between the towns of Barnet and Southgate, set in its own grounds. It is accessible on the Piccadilly Line from Cockfosters and Southgate stations, from New Barnet rail station or on several bus routes.
Our first campus outside the UK, Dubai, welcomed its first students in January 2005. We are proud to teach more than 1000 students of over 50 different nationalities. The campus is located in landscaped surroundings, and has state-of-the-art facilities. Our students gain internationally recognised British qualifications and have the opportunity to study at one of our London campuses during their course.
We teach a variety of pre-undergraduate, undergraduate and
postgraduate courses in: accountancy, business administration,
psychology, communication and media, computing science, tourism,
human resource management, information technology, hospitality
management, publishing and professional short courses.

Courses at our Dubai campus are subject to the same rigorous quality assurance procedures that have earned Middlesex the highest possible endorsement from the UK's Quality Assurance Agency for Higher Education. Academic courses in Dubai have the same validation and monitoring system as in London, with the same examinations taken simultaneously in both cities. The Honours degrees awarded to Dubai campus students are, therefore, identical to those achieved by students at our London campuses. Students in Dubai can also choose to study one of our London campuses during their studies.
The main teaching facility occupies three floors of a spacious self-contained building in the stunning Knowledge Village development. It includes lecture theatres, an English language centre, seminar rooms, computer laboratories, wi-fi enabled areas, a library, student focus areas, a student lounge and a prayer room.
The library, which is growing as the University campus expands, provides all the learning materials needed for each module, including books, periodicals and audiovisual materials. Teaching staff were hand picked to ensure a top-class education is delivered.
Students benefit from the same standard of support given to their London-based counterparts, including English language support, careers advice, religious support, work placement opportunities and an alumni network.
Accommodation is in state-of-the-art purpose-built halls of residence 20 minutes drive from campus. In addition to furnished rooms, a variety of facilities are available on the premises, including a snack bar, a gym, table tennis, cable TV lounges, internet access, and a laundry room, as well as security, and cleaning. A shuttle bus service operates between the halls and the University campus. Rooms are available on either single or sharing basis.
Dubai is a modern, vibrant, cosmopolitan city. In recent years a policy of diversifying national income has led to a move away from an oil-based economy towards strategic commercial ventures. This has resulted in unprecedented economic growth.
Dubai is a leading holiday destination, where tourists enjoy a peaceful, tolerant and multi-cultural environment with an excellent infrastructure. Dubai also continues to be a favoured venue for international conferences, concerts and sporting events.
The campus is located at the Knowledge Village in Dubai, which is part of the Dubai Technology and Media Free Zone. It offers a unique campus ambiance with purpose-built facilities. The Middlesex University campus is a modern building set in landscaped surroundings with state-of-the-art facilities specially designed for student centred learning. There are also sports facilities, a bookshop, a food court and prayer rooms, in addition to a range of commercial outlets.
Our second international campus begun teaching in January 2010. Located in a custom-designed educational complex we offer courses which are subject to the same rigorous quality assurance procedures that have earned Middlesex the highest possible endorsement from the UK's Quality Assurance Agency for Higher Education.
Vacoas (also known as Vacoas-Phoenix), where the campus is located, is one of the safest and most prestigious parts of the island. It is a garden town and one of five main towns in Mauritius.
The campus is well-served by local buses to access the capital Port Louis, and the journey takes about 45 minutes. A motorway links different parts of the country, including Vacoas, Port Louis and the airport. There are many tourist attractions all over the island that are easily reachable.
Quatre Bornes, a neighbouring town with a full range of amenities, is 20 minutes from the campus by bus, and the nearest beach, Flic en Flac is just 45 minutes away from the campus (by bus). A shuttle (minibus) will be available from Jumbo supermarket at Phoenix and from Vacoas bus station to the Campus at regular intervals.
Our international recruitment policy means we attract top quality academic staff from around the world. These staff are experts in their subject areas and committed to student achievement and welfare. Lecturing staff based at the Mauritius campus work in partnership with the academic programme team based in London to ensure the quality standards of the UK programmes are maintained in curriculum delivery, teaching styles and assessment.
Students benefit from an emphasis on independent learning, a key characteristic of British education you will not only acquire the professional knowledge of your subject, but will also learn ‘how to learn’ and develop the critical thinking skills and initiative required in the workplace.
Typically for each module you will spend about three hours in class contact time each week, and you will need to spend about three times that amount of time on your own independent study and research. Each undergraduate course has four modules running concurrently over the year.
Mauritius is renowned as an island paradise as evidenced by its thriving tourism industry and offers one of the most relaxed and safe environments to be a student. The government of Mauritius is forging ahead with its mission to
make Mauritius the intelligent island of the region and intends to
transform the country into a world-class knowledge hub and gateway
for post-secondary education.
The population of Mauritius is 1.2 million made up of Asian, African and European descendants and this diversity is widely evident as soon as you arrive.
The island itself is just 61km long at its longest point and 46km wide at its widest. Its capital is Port Louis. Virgin forests, volcanic mountains, lagoons and beaches make up its geography.
Mauritius was a British colony and the education system in Mauritius is largely based on the British system. English is the official language of Mauritius but the majority of the population speaks the French-based Mauritian Creole.
